Questions owners ask
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You keep your number and forward calls to Callonia: all of them, only when the line is busy, or only after hours.
What if a caller wants to talk to a person?
Callonia transfers the call to your staff. If nobody answers, it takes a message and it shows up in your dashboard.
Who pays card fees and delivery?
Card processing comes out of each order through your own Stripe account, like any card payment. The customer pays a delivery fee starting at $4.99 and you cover at most $3 per delivery.
Is card information safe?
The caller types the card on the phone keypad. It goes straight to a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your staff, the AI and Callonia never see or store the number.
What happens if I go over my minutes?
Extra minutes are billed at your plan’s rate. You get alerts at 80% and 100%, and the dashboard tells you when a bigger plan would cost less.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Plans are month to month and you can cancel anytime.
Does it work with my POS?
You don’t need to change anything. Orders show on the kitchen screen; a direct POS connection is available as an add-on.
